Virgin Grade UHMW (ultra-high molecular weight) polyethylenes are tough, wear resistant, low coefficient of friction, impact strength, self-lubricating and chemical resistant. UHMW polyethylene is used in conveyors, bulk material handling industrial applications, food processing augers and other areas where food contact is involved.

UHMW has a very low coefficient of friction. Frictional wear on unlubricated surfaces in contact with UHMW is less than with any other plastic. UHMW also displays extraordinary resistance to abrasive wear by gritty materials. It is recommended for use at temperature ranging from -250°C to 82°C.
